If you’ve been waiting for the best Easter clearance deals, it’s happening now! Some Target locations have officially marked down Easter items to 70% OFF, including both food and non-food items. Unfortunately, there are still some stores that are still at 30% off and 50% off.
This is one of the biggest markdowns of the season—and based on past years, it only gets better from here.
What I Found In-Store
Here’s what I spotted during my latest Target run:
I couldn’t believe I found this LEGO Decorative Easter Egg Building Toy 40816. I spotted this Lego in the regular aisle with other Easter themed LEGO set. But this was the only set that was ringing up $5.99 at the Target Price checker. The retail price of this set is $19.99.
I wish the LEGO Spring Wreath – Easter Craft for Kids – 40957 and the LEGO Creator 3 in 1 Cute Bunny Building Toy with 3 Build Options, Bunny, Seal, or Llama 31162 were on clearance. I don’t understand how one set can be markdown to $5.99 and the other Easter sets are full price.
I also found Easter baskets and pre-filled gift sets marked down to 70% off. Also Easter candy (Peeps, Oreo themed treats, Sour Patch, more)
The snack box was one of my favorite finds and it was only $2.99, normally $9.99
My store also had a ton of home decor (bunnies, signs, spring dishes, and mugs)

Not all Target stores mark down items at the same time.

– Inventory will vary depending on your store. Markdowns are all over the place this year.

When Will Target Go 90% Off?
This is the question everyone is asking. Usually when it comes to seasonal clearance, 70% off will last for 3 to 4 days, then it hits 90% off. Target doesn’t announce when the prices will drop. The Mama Deals community on telegram normally shares all markdown information.
Should You Buy Now or Wait?
Here’s the strategy that I use when I shop all seasonal clearance deals:
– I only buy at 70% if I really want the item
– I wait for 90% if I am okay with limited selection
A lot of my followers wait it out—but the shelves clear FAST once 90% hits. Also, location matters when making the decision to buy at 50% or 70% off or wait for the price to drop to 90% off. If you live in highly populated area, your target is always busy and a lot of deal hunters live in your area it might be wise to buy what you want at 50% – 70% off.

Mama Deals Tips for Scoring the Best Deals
– Shop early in the morning for best selection
– Check multiple Target locations if possible
– Look beyond the Easter aisle (endcaps, random clearance sections, top shelves)
– Scan EVERYTHING—some items ring up cheaper than marked
– Go back daily if you’re waiting for 90% off
The Target Easter clearance at 70% off is already a great deal, so if you can’t wait for stuff to hit 90% off definitely buy now.
